Dr. Raghavan Pillai Raju is a Professor in the Department of Pharmacology & Toxicology at Augusta University in Augusta, Georgia. After earning his PhD from All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), New Delhi, he pursued postdoctoral training at the University of Minnesota and the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota. He was a Senior Staff Fellow at the NIH and later served as an Associate Professor at the University of Alabama at Birmingham. Since 2013, he has been a full Professor at Augusta University. Dr. Raju’s research bridges injury, metabolism, aging, inflammation, and mitochondrial function. He has published over 90 peer-reviewed articles, is on the Editorial Board of several journals, and has served on study sections of federal agencies and private foundations.
